Poem
To the lily moon that never forsakes me~ amidst the cruel constellations that left me stranded in a melancholic maze of rain-kissed memories. I’ll write this prose for you, on periwinkle paper perfumed with geranium grace, in rhyme-less cadence, like the rhythm of raspberry regrets flowing in hues of poisoned red~ through blue bruised veins screaming for begonia bliss, blooming amidst balmy bouquets of bewitching ballads. For I’ve been singing alone, knitting daffodil dreams across skies of colorless sunsets. Like an abandoned and forgotten flower, dancing to the tune of darkness, while dwelling in dreary drowsiness, unable to break free from the frost-clawed iciness. Yet, I remember when the soulless stars refused to orchestrate marigold melodies, you were the maestro in musical meadows, sowing herbs of harmony, to synchronize scentless symphonies. You carried me through it all, like a wingless angel, wrapping my somber silhouette with silver sonatas. And when I felt the porcelain petals scattered across softened sand beneath my frail feet~ pierce through honeyed skin like thistles and thorns, you gave me your heart, inked with carmine syllables of compassion, and watched me rise like the sangria sun, to adorn wilted willows with lilac-laced love and feathered forgiveness.. And when I come through it all~ I know your name will remain within amaranth auroras eternally twirling as teal ribbons~ for you are the charismatic chorus of clemency that I’ll forever replay on rewind. I’ve been a misplaced magnolia tree~ in a weathered field of misery, tangled in crumbling roots of rambling ruins, watching greenest of vines wane into wretched weeds. O’ beloved you will be remembered, you drew immortal roses from glistening tears of an undying crescent~ placed it on my acrylic canvas, to save me from the eclipsed spheres, when this heart longed for an eternal sleep in a glass casket of withered wisterias. You are the one I’ll never forget~ as this poem I’ve written to the beloved moon; my timeless muse, glazed in twinkling temptations. And when I come through it all I pray I’m the one ~ you’ll never forget ..
