Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all of your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. Proverbs 3:5-7. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from wicked men whose words are perverse. Proverbs 2: 10-13 He tends his flock like a shepherd; he gathers his lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those who are young. Isaiah 40:11 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even the youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They will soar like wings of eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40: 29-41. Know I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he answers them from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. Psalm 20:6-8. But Ruth replied, (to her mother-in law Naomi) "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die and there I will be buried. May the LORD deal with me be it ever severely, if any thing but death separates you and me. Ruth 1:16-17. Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the Gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River (the Jordan River), or the gods of the Amorities, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household. we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24: 14-15. First, we need to trust in our Lord with all of our hearts, leaning not on our own understanding, we acknowledge him and his wisdom by shunning evil and perverse ways. He is the good Sheppard, who tends his flock of sheep and he gives strength to the weary. The LORD will protect his anointed people, be faithful and serve him and chose who you will serve today.
