Poem
To the successful best ... I can see the future, it's been calling me I'm gonna live my life, it's how it's gonna be Some people never listen, Some people gotta burn They never hear a single thing, And they will never learn I thought of intercepting one of his trips, letting him know I've five pillows of his Pepsi, his thanks for providing for his next trip, I answered, "Best be Andromeda, for the Milky Way you've trekked." I remembered a Trek episode 'Charlie X' a psionic naughty boy, naught similar to the episodic Charlie that exposes its true being but the result is like a trippy Charlie X. [The preceding statement is addressing the aforementioned] Mama's little baby, was going out to sea You know he couldn't sail, so he slipped into a dream I can see you ridin' on the crest of the storm So come inside with me, cuz I will keep you warm The experiences that Glenn had endured during his addiction to crack, rock, freebase, speedball, oh yes, and Charlie--without the 'X'. He described the difficulties that seemingly lure him as he endures a trip that will ensure the consistency of its use. Higher places, distant faces Can't you see they want to live again Higher places, soul traces Can't you see they want to live again Depends on the speed and how high the ball bounces, those once-upon-a-timers, live again in you ... be the trice of memories resurrect a bit. I can feel the sun shine, And I want you to know So many times I was alone, and there was no hope So wash your hands in the water Until you find your way I keep on telling you So maybe you won't stray It's no use getting jaded, The living wheel goes round I was once frustrated, And I finally hit the ground I'll be glad to meet you, I won't let you fall Cuz I was always there for you, I hope you do recall And I want you to see, just how it's gonna be Now don't, don't you agree, cuz it's supposed to be All have been accorded by the powers that be, word for word that has long been inscribed, into The Book of Life, for it already knows of those trips that have been taken, but what you didn't know, Glenn--my boy, until a bit later, was of the best trip ever that has long been waiting--Glad to have you aboard, Master Glenn Hughes. Songwriters: Glenn Hughes, Jeff Kollman
