Poem
I once saw a man with kaleidoscopic eyes, reflecting in hues of periwinkle and persimmon. His heart illuminated in shades of scarlet, marigold and clementine, releasing rainbow ink from his psychedelic pen, brushing over his personal poetic sins. Free from regret and pain. He sat upon his throne as the king of swing. Gazing at the golden orb dance in a new dawn, he reminded himself - that was then, this is now. I once saw a woman who sang songs of the siren. About pain and how that was then and this is now. Her soft sophisticated sojourner soul, soaked silent sobs from soliloquy spirits. But, she was lost in a spring that sprung sorrows, waiting for the return of birds and their sweet chorus, so their orchestra could fill her heart's empty nest. When a dove with broken wings laid eggs, she began sewing shadows to heal their wounds. In the magic of the moment, she realized every bird has its nest. I once saw a child crying for the children of tomorrow, hurt from trials and tribulations, twirling like a typhoon. He began weaving webs of gloom, portraying wilted fields on his canvas. I guided him to the man who bled in rainbow ink, so he could express, rather than suppress, as no one should be living a life of fear. Told him, that was then, this is now. A versifier was born rewriting with palm leaves, narrating the truth beyond his eyes. I once saw a man of God, who always dipped his fingers in rosemary, before he raised his hands in prayer. I spoke to him about the universe, told him my sorrows and asked: "What if stars were gold, would the queen in the sky be jealous?" "How can we tell between evolution and spiritual intervention?" "What is the meaning of life?" He simply smiled. told me: "Worry ends when faith begins. God has a plan for you. What happened yesterday has gone, that was then, this is now. Go find your path" I remember the day I heard your voice, and you wrote in my beloved's diary, "I am love." Idolising your intricate infatuation, I entered the labyrinth of your twisted mentality, removing merciless moonflowers from your precious petal garden. soothing like sun drops on carnation seedlings, we swam like dolphins in a timeless reef, as faith and hope were restored, dark days and lonely nights were gone, because that was then, this is now, as now my heart lies in your soul. Yet, still I worry you may forget me. We all have a destination, sometimes we find the right path, sometimes we remain waiting. We can't always control fate, but we can act upon the pangs of our heart.
