Poem
I am still holding my belly and rocking from side to side as if my mother had just died. Reality is mumbling between my teeth and tension is crawling up and down my stomach. The music is playing but the cords are broken, and the clouds are moving swiftly in the sky, and I watch the pillars of hope rolls by. My spirit is moaning, and my heart is humming a ruthless tune, and chills are vibrating up and down my body; there is no physical pain but a multitude of global shame and the misery of those living in the zone come bellowing before the throne seeking a channel to unload their misery. My heart is crying but no tears are falling, it is that part of the body that becomes numb when I hear the sirens and the whistle that resonate from the barrel of missiles and guns. You don’t know from whence they came so detach yourself from them before they drive you insane. Hope lies in the branches of the trees and courage is standing in the gap for thee. I watch them crawl from underneath the rubble with cuts and bruises on their face's, legs and arms amputated and bodies half mutilated. Their clothes, soaked in blood, others are dirty and beaten out, and they carry a stench that perfumes the heavens, the scavengers are flying around in a circle and lands on the ground and picks at their clothes. They are alive and continue the struggle to survive. There is no place to go because all the streets are closed, and the black smoke is fuming everywhere and the tension in my belly gets bigger and the burdens get heavier. Hungry eyes stares at me with water dripping from the sides, angry eyes saying, “I will live or die but I am not going there,” and stiff faces trying to force a smile but instead they start to speak in a language that is so deep, The warmth is burnt out of their gut and anger fire a missile in the air with a profound message that was clear, they vow to take back their land and give it to the next generation, but they have no weapon to fight an most of their leaders have died. Mercy march on their door and ships carrying tons of food embark upon their shores, it took a week to arrive from a distance that was just within a mile. The strangers in the night laid on dry ground waiting on the food to arrive in their town; with cracked lips and dry skins they sit with their pans chanting an improvised rhythm, malnourish bodies leaning against the wall and bones sticking from the flesh, and flesh falling form flesh, but destiny had it all worked out, that night the food shouted out. the convoy was taken out one, two, three in a row and manner from heaven came floating down and melt everything on the ground. The mountains stood strong, and courage carried me on. I walked around I saw the galaxy romancing with the moon and the sun with its intense heat moves closer to the earth and erode the galaxy with dirt and halfway between, the skies change its shapes and color to honor the souls that made those painful sacrifice. Missile keep flying through the air you have made your point judgment is here.
