can't equate worth from how they respond
     delighted to see me
then I'm all wrong
      dance at my presence 
          or beckon me forth
   to then look forlorn at the sight of me 
                       and run indoors
 my gentle touch or pitter patter
      soothing sound of tin roof clatter
   I'm all too much or I'm not enough 
       playfully hide 
                   to call your bluff
    I want to soak through to your skin
         as monsoon rain
   bounce off the ground
     in delight again
   make flowers thrive
           glisten in beauty
honour your whims
   do my duty
       excite the senses 
make rainbows appear
    be confident
       but not too cavalier
I suppose my fall is as inevitable as my rise
   it'll happen again
 cycling lows and highs
I need to look to myself for self worth cues
trying to get it elsewhere leaves me confused
     I'm very much what I am
         which is all I can be
right place, right people
  I'm pleasant company
           whether I'm a drop the the ocean
      or a much needed drenching
                the giver of life
        gloriously thirst quenching
   never looking back 
        to when my confidence lacked
    I'm a force of nature
               an indisputable fact
         given this insight I feel raring to go
      to land on your tongue
             combine with your glow
     I've chosen you 
           as the one I most want to know
lasting thought is I must go with the flow
