This is good, [to live godly and holy lives] and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in it's proper time. 1 Timothy 2:3-6. It was the proper time for Paul to give the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. God appointed him as a herald, an apostle and a teacher of the true of faith, of the gospel to the gentiles. He was speaking the truth and he wasn't lying to them. Jesus like Melchizedek. The book of Hebrews address the holy priesthood of Jesus Christ. Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office but because Jesus Christ lives forever, he has a permanent priest hood. Unlike the other priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. Hebrews 7:26-27 He sacrificed for sin once and for all when he sacrificed himself. Hebrews 7:28. Yes, we have Jesus Christ as our high priest, instead of weak sinful men for our high priests. And because He is our high priest--He is both our mediator between us and GOD, the Father, and our intercessor between us and GOD the Father. Thus, He is the one and only high priest that is uniquely qualified. Who is he who condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God, and is interceding for us. Who then will separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship, or persecu tion or famine, or nakedness or sword? Romans 8:34-35 No, in all of these things, we are more than conquerors, through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the presence nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in God's creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God through Christ Jesus. Romans 8:37-39. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch take them out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one." John 10:27-30 We aren't able to snatch ourselves out of both of their hands; they're part of the God head's Holy Trinity! Roxanne Lea Dubarry 03/08-09/24
