Took a breath
Of your death
Upon my tongue…
Burnt a lung…
In the process
Of my hopeless state
I’m making progress
As of late, as of late

So young and awkwardly long
I can’t believe I don’t belong
So wrong, it feels right all along
You smoked me out like weed in the bong
So hung and dry
I don’t want to die
I’m just shy and this guy…
Willing to fly, fly, fly
How dare you, unwinding mind of mine
My unwinding mind won’t shine 
The stars aren’t align…
But, I’m feeling fine

Lunging in waters
Mind in the gutters
Lost in brief grief
Need some relief
Hold on to me
Let go of envy
Glee sets me free, happy as can be
So I no longer grieve on my sleeve
Grief-stricken feelings substantially 
Made its final leave, its final leave

Got me feeling blind with grime
My kind of kind
Took for granted every time
You’re still in the streets once more all this time
This time, I’m learning to win your tough love
And lose myself in the weeds in which I climb
Inside…smoked out from the thought of up above

Maybe God has given me some sort of sign
My mind and heart are playing ping-pong
Thoughtlessly unwinding my mind and what’s mine
Because you took away my young heart as it flies its boldly shine
