                                   It Started with a Blank Canvas

                                 At the start stood a blank canvas
                                In the womb of stark nothingness;
                                 The greatest Artist first drew out
                                From the depth of deep emptiness
                                 The pictures of heaven and earth
                                 Shrouded in depressive darkness.

                                    To lift the veil from the canvas,
                                 With His smart and dexterous skill
                               He spread the beam of light thereon
                                       In a spirit full of goodwill
                                   And to raise the canvas` delight
                                   He pitched the sky above waters.

                                    To enhance the canvas` beauty
                                The Artist sketched out the dry land
                                    Painted in fruit trees, greenery
                                  And vegetation found in dreams
                                   With birds flying across the sky,
                            The moon and stars veiled by sunbeams.

                                 With colourful brush, He scattered 
                                  Moving creatures on the dry land
                                   Swimming bodies on blue water
                                        And in a wonderful garden
                                       At the centre of the canvas
                                  Penciled the seeds of primal man.

                                This wondrous work of art, indeed,
                                      Was crafted as an artistry,
                                      Not as a fun, but as a feat
                                       Of fondness for humanity,
                                        As a distinctive tapestry
                                     With the loveliest imagery.

                                   This painting of the universe
                            With stars, the sky and the moonlight,
                                With rivers, lakes and the forest,
                             With oceans, waves and the sunlight,
                             With hills, mountains and waterfalls
                          Was all wrapped in wondrous snowballs.

                                   This unique work of tapestry
                               With divine thoughts and messages
                                        Transmitted to humanity
                                  By the Artist through long ages
                                       Remains living testimony
                                     Of divine glory and beauty.

                                 Yet, how many His art cherish!
                                  How many His canvas relish!
                                   How many His feat admire!
                               How many His thoughts inspire!
                               How many His words do follow!
                              How many`re moved by His halo!
