Poem
Creative Columbine, rich and vibrant, In hues of blushing rose, soft As shadows fading beneath the moonlight, Glorious sighs, planted in colors, Black earth, fresh as the dawn, And basking in the heat of a sun, Who blazes promises on the mourning soul, Sun who reflects all the kindness, Stirring hearts beneath azure skies, Where tender clouds float on the horizon. Tempting Tulips, pining for the springtime music, Burid in graves of hope, Rising from the earth after the sunlight, Pours her life into each bulb, Inviting new stems, petals and precious Plants to the top of the loam, Who finds pleasure in the rains, While lives melt away the ache, Crying for the new – in the moments, Just beyond a steely gray mourning. Fragile Ferns, wide awake and gazing, Trembling in the evenings, While hearts bleed a sweet inspiration, Praying for the silence of the graveside, Where gentle memories cling to the mind, Erasing the distance between death and birth, The resistance between hope and assurance, In blessings, God whispers His grace into us. Reflective Roses, stirred to dreams, More aware of the serenity, Flowing through the heart who believes, Reassuring with a certainty, That whoever shall agree – on earth, Shall agree in heaven’s realms, Truth senses the rose’s rising buds, Erasing every doubt, each cloud, With the wonder of a faith that combines With laughter and sunrises and cloudless moments, Enriched with grace and purest love. Prayerful Peonies, weeping and wailing, As intimate as the newborn’s faith, Where there is the treasure of unspeakable light, Poured out through the spirit, Arousing the wisdom’s hesitant glimpse Into the eternal promises, the music of a heart Who can see past the past, Into the moments just beyond forever, Where miracles relieve all the doubts, And poetry risks the silhouettes in faded clouds, Quaint quivering smiles, In the hearts of those who can see… In the flowers, silent followers of His gentling, Soothing away the darkness, With a comfort that remembers – hearts Who grieve, those who believe, Those who need to see Him in the smiles, That linger on, prompting the world, To love – to love – always, to love… With only the rhythms of a world who can know, Wherever He goes, peace restores, Every hope, all faith, the miracle of His grace, Love that finds a way – forever and always, And, we will pray… for this joy that is in the knowing, He is the love that keeps hearts flowing, The love that keeps souls growing, The love that the spirit is showing!
