Poem
There once was a piano that wanted to be Anything other than of white, black keys She loved her parents and her fabulous family But she lacked love for self and her maroon melody She asked the trumpet so shiny and cool What's it like to blow like you The trumpet pause and then he played A few chords of taps from a funeral today Piano said wow that is sad but a beaut I guess you can have sadness too I'm on a journey to find a new me Will you come too and find a happy song to sing So they journey on to a different place Saw new instruments from a parade There was a snare drum from veteran's day And an African Steele Drum with lots of faith Piano says what's it like to be you To be beat upon to inspire teach truth Snare said I am honored but it can be sad Steele Drum says dance and it's not so bad Piano says I admire you both Come along we want to go Find a song and follow destiny Colorful and strong despite my black and white keys So they cross many a road Just so happen to see green toad He was singing in frogy voice On brown log happy of course We heard your mighty fine song Wonder if you want to come along We are looking for piano's new destiny You can sing along if you follow us please I'd be delighted said the toad A dream of mine is to sing on the road So they go with a funny group And they cross paths with a silver flute What's it like to be a flute today We'd love to know and hear you say Flute plays her soprano song I'm fine she whistles as others play along If you want to travel come with us today We are on a mission and we like how you play Before long they reach a big red barn There is a musical family farm A brown guitar is being strummed Playing like a star and we all hum What is it like to be strummed Are you happy is this fun Guitar says sometimes I get plucked And the song I sing depends on luck If it is a hoe down its a happy day The fingers strumming have joy to play But sometimes there is a different mood And sad fingers strum to play the blues The blues I know Grandpa plays that well He uses black and white keys to cast a spell Come along guitar and play your heart song Help me find destiny and join in our sing a long As they cross the fields they see a little store In the widow are instruments about four A saxophone a trombone a violin and bass And wonderful music came from this place What is is like to be you the others say To live in a cool musical place The four flash a smile and say with much respect What's it like to travel with only music's best They all get together and play many songs And lots of people come to sing along From Jazz to pop to rock to classical The concert was fun and fantastical It was so much fun and all felt esteem The unlikely group including toad so green Did not change in their self a single thing In their heart song they found they are living dreams
