As I follow after this answer,
Who showed me the way through pain,
Who promised me that love would win,
Who silenced the doubts that charged my sin,
Who kept me from seeking out sin again.

As I follow after this grace,
Who destroyed all my worst fears,
Who wiped away, even the soundless tears,
Who told me that I was worth something to Him,
Who invited me into a relationship with a King.

As I follow after this music,
Who plays joy through every note I hear,
Who whispers light into my very breathe,
Who remembers that I’m just a child – I’m His,
Who inspires me to give without thinking of taking.

As I follow after this light from God,
Who assures me that His love will grow and grow,
Who takes away the sin of the world,
Who reminds me that He is the promise from above,
Who invites me into a relationship filled with love.

As I follow after this joy of life,
Who teaches me to let go of my strife,
Who cures me of every worry that survives,
Who shows me the meaning of sacrifice,
Who is kind to me, even when I don’t act like His child.

As I follow after this beautiful delight,
Who singles me out for joy and elation,
Who stirs me to believe when I feel doubtful,
Who lights my way when the night is dark,
Who deepens my faith when I’m so very wrong.

As I follow after this experience with hope,
Who causes me to never give up on the lost,
Who starts in me, a feeling of purest love,
Who frees me from the grief of a painful loss,
Who encourages me to always look up, up, up.

As I follow after this spirit who came to earth,
Who abides inside as much as He does in heaven above,
Who lights the way so I can see past the murkiest dusk,
Who is alive and frees me to seek out the love that He gives,
Who listens to my dreams and urges me to believe, to have faith.

As I follow after the One who brought me out of destruction,
Who ignites the flames of a love that rings with heaven’s music,
Who burns inside me, always a guide for me, forever giving hope,
Who prompts my soul to give and grow, making my life whole,
Who is the way, the truth, the life – the answer to all my dread.

As I follow after Him, Jesus – my friend,
Because He lives, I can see through the shadows,
Into a wonderful that is beyond describing,
A wonderful that is so very inviting,
A wonderful that He came to bring,
A wonderful love that is only His to give!
