Hate is the souvenir from lips,
who echo darkness,
words like swords, piercing 
into soft flesh, hearts 
breaking beneath the weapon’s
sickening crack, words 
erasing the hope of ever
feeling worthy or worthwhile

Hate is the spiteful taste,
bitter as the vomited thoughts 
trembling on pride filled minds,
those who silence grace,
with shame they cannot face 
humiliation in the words
who break through the flow,
of peace, the wealth of breathing.

Hate is the relationship,
between fear and despair 
desperation in hues of rage
devising madness 
within hearts who gasp
at the reflection of circumstance 
pouring out from skies 
stirred to life by heartbreak’s cries.

Hate is the moment,
just before the game 
blame, condemning a player who
cries defeat but still challenges,
those who see beyond 
the anxiety and panic, both
wounds inflicted by a manic
depressed and raging against 
melancholy, darkness, loss, reproach.

Hate is the overflow of doom,
washing away the beautiful 
the gentling and softest 
trickle of sensitivity 
lost dreams and lost peace 
no patience for the music 
who bleeds light into this house.

Hate is the comprehension,
feelings cling to their fears,
singing doubt 
with a futility 
only murkiest revenge 
could imagine singing,
as dread dances a waltz
soon fate shall know…

Hate is the note,
that says all is lost,
even in the sunlight
hate whispers,
words forming like a mist,
satisfying only the moments 
turned from joy, from bliss,
to the world who is like trouble kissed.

Hate is discord, the destiny,
of those who refuse to be
sucked into heroism, brave, daring,
love’s mystery – caring,
bringing light to the smiles,
tenderness who inspires,
wonder to the heart,
the burning of hope to the night,
twinkling in the eyes who know…
with God, all hate is doomed,
to the pits of hell, where it shall dwell,
never more powerful than the love,
shone to those who simply believe…

with God, everything that is or shall be…
will always know the meaning of grace,
the joy that comes to those who praise,
the opposite of hate – love that ever waits,
for the moment to finally say…

Love is eternal, love saves, bids… 
the heart a blessing to give, 
the soul a reason to fulfill…
all the promises that God implied,
when He sent His Son, His child,
the reason that hate has been crushed,
and the darkness has lost its chance…
to end love’s everlasting agreement,
the promise that love will overcome,
love will sing the song of grace,
love will answer every word prayed,
by hearts who believe – love is the seed,
planted inside those who grow to be…
hated by a world who just can’t see,
God is love and God will always be, endlessly!
