Poem
Only for a moment, Does the wind blow in the frosty fragments, Like stories woven through the gales, Erasing the night, the pines With a beautiful cloak of peace, Silent as the sound of grace, Weeping quietly in the forest’s path. Only for a moment, Does the beautiful succumb to the light, Falling gracefully against the night, Gentling the rays of hope, Embracing the music of the wind, Soft and soothing, As melancholy bleeds its wonders From the memories, the signs Boughs of snow iced thoughts, Uncovering the music of a twisted waltz, Rising to meet the dancing delights, The leaves, shed by autumn, The summertime and the spring’s rain, Pelting away at the forest’s joy … Only for a moment… Wind pierces the distance, Falling, hushed Existing only for the furious feelings, The eventual passing over, Healing the breathless hurt Attaching the quiet scars to the moments, Moments filled with kindness, Kind words, kind thoughts, kind feelings… All the kindness intent on healing. Only for a moment, Does the silence surround the aching, Creating a cast of creativity, Kissing away the insanity of doubt, Shadows growing in the tracks… Only for a moment, Does the light reflect the dreams, Aching to be heard, to be seen, to know What it is to love, Laughing, lasting love… Aroused by the fading feelings, Glowing around the truth, intimate And so much like joy, Never afraid, never dissuaded by the past, Always lasting, always lasting… Like a seed planted in the spring, Rising in the summer, Fading in the autumn and dying In the winter, when all the earth turns dark. Only for a moment, Does the sun reveal the hope, The rain – the rhythm, the tone, falling, Pelting out an echo who shyly remembers… Yesterday’s tears, dawn’s dew, reflecting the tender, The wonder of a snowfall, blessing away Every dark cloud, all the sad… Blessing like it has heard the peace, Dripping down from the heavens, where life Lives on forever and ever… Only for a moment… Only for a moment, Then the moment is gone, And – you’re alone, with the faded knowing Your heart, always showing… What it is to believe, to believe In the love that He brings when He sings.. Through the winds, the snow, the rain, Through the silence that whispers its grace, The quite the sighs peace and light, Love that is the heart’s guide, the heart’s life, The heart whose been saved by His incredible sacrifice.
