Poem
Laugh a little, for this laughter – It breathes joy, stirring hope and more, Light that opens the moments, the thoughts, Wonder that comes from experiencing love. Play a little, for this playing – It silences most fears and sighs into the tears, Grace that inspires the beautiful, Breaking through the darkness with tenderness, The feathery warmth that embraces, Capturing the soul, awakening the hope. Enjoy the moments, for this is life – Being written before your eyes, with a pen Filled with the ink of insight, inspiration, imagination, Images lasting, wise and phantastic, Creating a story filled with song… a refrain of feelings, Blessings and believing… Welcome the eagerness of a spring, The elation of summer’s glow, The fluttering of autumn’s leaves, The turmoil of winter’s psalm. Relax in the charm from a captive heart, One who knows that love is the only way, The only reason, the only thing that comforts the sorrow, Encourages the heart who bleeds, erases the fears, From the souls who’ve been deceived. Appreciate all the colors of kindness, Gasping scarlet, rushing cobalt, glorious gold, Rustling, like the wind, through the oaks, Across the pines – beneath the starry skies, Vibrating, trembling with the ache of twilight. Echo the reflection of a life who agrees, Even in the shadows, there is an easy peace, Swaying like the boughs, high up in the tree – As the wind remembers, though driven by the storm, It often brings a stillness that resonates with the heart. Listen to the silence as it confirms… Even when there’s sorrow, there is a courage, In knowing that, despite the darkness, Light will soon enthuse the soul, Breaking through the blackness, to stir a radiant dream. Never, in all my life, have I really known… How it feels to be unloved, without a friend who cares, Without a tender moment to open up through prayers… Because, wherever I’ve gone – whatever I’ve known, There has never been a moment when I didn’t feel… Like Jesus is there beside me, comforting, Reminding me that, through Him, I have all I will ever need… To feel completely free… free to be the me, The me He created me to be, the me that believes… He is everything I’ll ever need to be perfectly complete! With Jesus, I am entirely full of the love He encourages, Love that knows – He is the answer to all my problems, The grace when I grieve, the faith when I’m in need, The promise of life that brings – everlasting faith and peace!
