Strike me again, when I don't fully comply to your messed up wishes
Tell me to shut up, go to the kitchen and clean up your dirty dishes
Overpower my weaker body when I stand up for myself
Force me down on my knees below your wicked self

Trim my nails, cut my claws, and I'll still get up to bite 
Whatever it takes to make what you've done to me just and right
Your anger I excused for love when I was in the past blind
But now I see the abuse, and you will never be mine

So hit me again, leave bruises on my skin
I'll hide them with makeup never again
I bare the scars of assault of four men
The back of my throat, all over my skin, and in my mind is where they've been

My blackened past, my dark demeanor, this is where they came
Because of these actions done to me, I'll never be the same
These things I wish with other's they could never with me relate
But the world is full of cowards, and with us they seek to date

Men like these across the world, be ridden with unending shame
For my spirit will rise above you, and I will never let myself be tamed
Seven years I'll patiently wait for a body that's never been touched
The hands of those who did not deserve me, I'll dream about being crushed

But with all of these curses set upon me, from men I used to love
I spit on your face and chant out loud, that I will rise above
