Poem
Beneath the snow blankets and spicy silence, Where laughter blends with radiant lights, Glistening on the night breath, kissing away the moments, As December flows with its naked limbs and hide n’ seek reflections, Soothing away the ache of yesterday and replacing fears With the music of the wind’s embrace, Hesitant and brisk, stirring up sentiments of grace, And, kindling dreams that will never fade, In the secret softness, the joy and the peace, the promises Abiding in the enchantment of winter’s steely Resolution, the poignant teeth – sharp as the icicle Blades who suggest residues of hope, melting away On the spirit who senses this laughing, gentling Melody, music like none have ever known… Like a blazing warmth, in tones of rustling pinecones, Piercing the forests with gasping kisses, Wishes, like magic, fulfilled and contented, Blurring with the beckoning lights – glistening Like candy cane fairytales, blessing away the poignant Stories, captivating the heart and soul – With a magnificence, erasing the darkness, Pouring out eggnog fantasies and flavors of peppermint Into the wonders glowing just beneath the pines, Healing the worries, instilling a joy Merriment, ceaseless and tender, abiding Like the peace of always knowing – this is His birth… We celebrate the coming of One who is light, Love, lasting through eternity… He will never leave – He will never deceive. He is forever and always – grace like we’ve never seen, Grace beyond our wildest dreams… It sings with the Christmas tree, the Christmas stillness, The Christmas secret is more beautiful than a heart can reveal… The Christmas secret is alive, like the heart’s good will… It survives the fears, the anxieties, the troubles. With this secret, comes a touch of the most exquisite light, Shimmering through the heart, glistening like the spirit, Never pretending and always depending on the One who brings Good tidings, a love that is filled with joy, hope and peace, A love that is the secret to every Christmas’ enormity. This is the Christmas secret… abiding in the heart. Wherever there is a great love, there is a great joy and hope. There is a great and abundant wonder, afar… explaining. This is the secret… the light of a love that the strongest darkness – Can never contain, a love that is more beautiful than it’s thinkable, More brilliant than the poetry of old… more alive than any knowing, Because of this Christmas secret… there is the hush in the distance, The blessing and bliss that comes to those who can see… In the Christmas wish, there is the secret of love that believes!
