Poem
I sat in my chair absorbing fresh air, I am feeling a sense of calm and for the first time, and I can see clearly what is above and below me. The vast world with its bountiful landscape and the sunlit sky open hundreds of tiny streets that lead into the avenue beneath me. I can see the army marching to and fro not sure of which way to go and the eagle flying below the sky singing a precarious hymn from an unique angle, the soldiers caught on to the rhythm and the entire battalion starts to chime in, the precision is right and you don’t have to work too hard to conquer the fight. It is the feeling of hope that you get when you are coming out of a terrible storm battered and bruise and abrasion on your feet pains from wearing tight shoes. The temperature is cooling down and the vultures are slowly leaving the town, the intense heat has scattered dust all over the place but the reminiscence of hope lingers on. The street below is not secure, each of them has an open door that will lead you to the shore and a new kingdom above the heavens is watching. The middle will suck you in, and the sides will take you to where the four roads meet and there you will find intense heat. The entrance is not clear, you have land mind and booby trap everywhere, the second layer below is where the native grows. I sat in my chair and I am feeling a sense of calm as my mind wander over there looking for second layer that resides in the cave’s mouth. The second layer is laced with suicide bombers and if I go their dogs will eat my supper and even a bullet proof roof would leave the army confused. You cannot go in until you diffuse ever trap, push them towards the back and enter form the top. It’s like drilling a hole in the ground from the top. My mind began to search the universe for a special light that will guide me throughout the night, the image keeps coming and going and it kept circling around and penetrating the ground. I didn’t know what to make of it until I saw them swinging from a branch in the tree and quickly landing on the mountain. Then they enter into a hole from the top of the mountain. The road is never clear, there is always someone waiting over there so be careful how you enter. Somewhere out there, I can feel your presence, you are longing for that touch that will take you out of the deep and put you back on your feet, my spirit is growing and my heart is waiting, I can feel a sense of calm as I sit in the midst of the storm but the tension is growing over there.
