The rise and fall of civilizations is always clearer to track in hindsight like the stages and progression of battles in a war, but in the trenches, in the decades of decline, it’s hard to see any trajectory other than the fall as society gets richer and softer, more liberal and permissive until it’s so far Left, so far up on its precarious pinnacle of achievements there is nowhere else for it to go but down. This was the 1,000 year dream of the 3rd Reich which never was, and the Brave New World which even though is can never last. Eventually the People, with its collective governments and institutions of misinformation and indoctrination have to revert to the mean have to swing Right back towards greater freedom, liberty and personal responsibility. Eventually everything designed to get too big to fail has to fail. Eventually the good-times with their good-time mentality and morality have to end. I just can’t see it happening within such a system. For once an authoritarian system is in place it doesn’t just step aside voluntarily since involuntary is as good a way to define the Left as voluntary is the Right. The only way I can see a voluntary society returning is a collapse of the New World Order as we know it, and this isn’t just a national or regional issue as it has always been in the past, it’s now global. And it isn’t just a slight “correction” able to be managed as a “road bump” on the endless march of progress, it’s a total collapse. Collapse, like war, is easy to think and talk about. It’s a lot harder to actually live through, yet some silver lining awaits on the other side when civilization rises again. It’s gonna take hard times, and hard times are coming, and yet….. Good times or bad times It’s all just times, and all Time is illusion (10/26/23)
