Poem
“In the journal, I am at ease.” — Anaïs Nin Crisp, like the autumn whose blazing dreams Softly whisper into the moments, Embracing the night and kissing the dew on dawn, Resembling a silent promise for gentle that is never wrong, Gentle in the calmest heart, a psalm, Tender and long, electrifying the dreams, Unburdening the conscious so there is forever, Singing grace through the wings of life, destiny forever Alive on the moment just before a storm, Promising light will shine even brighter through the heart, Who knows, beyond the shadow of a doubt, simply knows… These words clinging to the pages of my journal, Startling thoughts – images of praise, Still, cool waters of yesterday, promising light – Streaming, an echo, through the veins, Riding the waves of each smile, focused only on faith, Feeling so alive, so tender and vibrant, Inspired by the sight of every dream trembling, Through the kindness, through the smiles, Tempting awake each past, memories wistful Blessing the spirit with forever peace, Coloring the soul in vivid sapphire and scarlet hues, Twists of lace caressing the bare moments, Dreams unfolding on the wings, winds… Rustling softly, vanishing beneath the faded flames, Burning away the darkness – reflecting songs Who’ve gone neglected, sensing the moment before Risk of hope clings to the richest wisdom, the prudence In ways like bonfires roaring toward the skies, Interesting silhouettes, shadows on the moonlit nocturnal, Hastening to echo the millions of glistening stars, dusted by praise, Instinctive and amazing, pouring out a grace, Far glossier than the second chance, sparkly like daybreak, Clutching the flickers of tenderness, Reassured by laughing oaks and pearlescent thanks, Inviting every soul to reminisce – remember Him… The ONE who purchased our soul with His light, His life a gift unimaginable, a gift that shines… Far brighter than sun or stars, This is a love beyond envisioning… it glows like peace, Glistens in the heart and begs the soul to believe – Just believe, He is the murmur of hope, the tenderness, The music in the heart, the trembling of a thought… A thought who knows – yes, truly knows… He is risen and, with Him, there is forgiveness, With Him, there is eternity in heaven, With Him, there is love that never fades, With Him, there is the promise of grace and true faith…. With Him, there is no doubt – He is the light that shines, Reflecting the glory of love through everyone who knows Him. He’s the Savior of the world and He is the sweetness in my soul!
