Poem
There are many "cures" for depression, some of them are drugs from a pharmacist, and others are creations by a loving God. Quietness seeps in through the walls, Reflective and nurturing, sure that her promises will glisten… Loudly enough for the soul to be inspired, stirred awake, By the music of silence, the echoes both soothing And magnificent, like the sea who calms, yet mystifies, Coloring the whole thought in gentle, tender, soft… Quiet that breaks through the dawn, melting soundlessly, Like dew slipping over the whimsical thoughts. Calmness trickles in through the pores, Introspective and pensive as the wish who prays softly, Whispering light over the whimsical reality, the genuineness Raining its authenticity into the heart, erasing Darkness – night soils the contemplations, the musings Wise and warm, breathing a hope into the nocturnal, Absorbed by the flavors of a frothy sun, ashen – washed-out By the inspirations who rustle the tendrils of hope, Speechless stars, shimmering in the sky, teach my heart to listen… Discreet and still, like rumors of a summer night who implores the shadows, Falling gently from beggars, drifters who exceed expectations, As they lift their hands in prayer and praise, trembling with the grace Who floods the moments with reticence, muted pawns, Admiring the reconciliation of a heart and soul, the harmony Love and faith, the melody of goodness formed inside the person Who believes, without a doubt, the gospel truth, music Blessed by the greatest thought, the greatest light, the greatest love… From One who rains down serenity, blesses the way we seek tranquility In the faded leaves, falling over the mountain’s peaks, The sound of silence screaming into the heart who believes, The wonderful light, softly reflecting the miracle, the wonder, of a soul Who knows that His love is beyond sacred… it is holy, sanctified By the conviction, the twisted wind who dances into the soft night, Feeding the heart its allegiance to the One who knows … Every heart, every soul, every silent tear – all the quiet And all the memory… still, quite amazingly… His love lifts us from our poverty into prosperity, His quiet peace traces silhouettes of grace over our prayers, His magnificence abides in the seasons, the believing… He is a love without reason – unconditional for those who believe Him, See through the quiet heart into the perfect light, the perfect nature, The perfect love from the One who painted each thought with His smile. Quietness penetrates every beautiful thing, enduring the noise Bitterness, betrayal and pain – the grief that only finds relief In the presence of His light, His gift to those who see through the dark Into the wonder of a forever where He is all – everything and more… He is the joy, the hope, the promise of everlasting love, a peace beyond What any poem can describe… He is the ONE who makes life worthwhile, the quiet inside my soul… The beautiful that will guide me home, to heaven, Where I’ll live forever… eternally praising and gazing… Into the eyes of a quiet light who is always going to be mine!
