It is my prayer that you will know
Him, the One who lights
Souls, with fires so alive, stirring hearts
Comforting the broken, silencing the tears
That come to those hearts who know…

Without Him, His love, His goodness
There is no light that can erase the darkness
There is no peace that can promise silence
There is no smile that can wipe away the pain
There is no reason that hope will have its way
There is no measure of grace amid the grief
There is no life… without Him, there is no way
Through the unending sin, the offences and shame,
The never ending disgrace that awaits…
	The heart who refuses to accept the Rescuer!

Without Him, 
	Life is only a shadow of doubt,
		A spirit crushed by the weight of iniquity
			A song without melody
				A breathe of degradation

Without Him,
	There is no escaping the hell
That comes to souls who don’t care, souls
Who dwell in the humiliation, the pridefulness,
The darkness where there is no way for grace
The grace that gives souls the chance to live….

To live a life filled with hope and faith, beauty that amazes
Wonder that embraces every heart with inspiration
Stirring awake the sleeping thoughts, the remembrance
Love that only God could have brought to life inside
The spirit who believes and agrees… His light – His love
That is enough to bring comfort to the broken hearted,
Joy to the soul who is surviving more loss, more despair
Than most can imagine suffering …

Because of Him, the One who made a way through the doubt
The One who covers each soul with His blood… 
	Blood that washes away every sin, every cloud, every reason
		For sorrow and confusion…
Because of Him, there is love without end… there is love
That abides inside because the heart believes in Him, the friend
Who is everlasting, eternal, forever with the one who simply believes…

HE IS the LIGHT of the world, the light of the soul, the One we know as
JESUS, the Son of God… the answer to every heart’s yearning,
The blessing that will see the heart through any dishonor, any despair,
Any darkness…
	Because He IS the LIGHT that rains hopes over the heart and soul,
		The LIGHT that rains love over every life
			The LIGHT who responds to the night’s misery,
				The LIGHT who brings the promise of forever peace
With the ONE who shines into the life… love that lasts through any grief!
