Praise God 
When the silence won’t allow you to feel
The colors in the sky, the rhythm in the melody,
The kindness in the grace, the believing in the faith

Praise God
When the darkness won’t let you see
Beyond the shadows that tell you about anxiety,
The dread that reveals where the pain impales you,
The fear where there was once so much assurance,
The tears that remind you how your heart is breaking

Praise God
When the reflection shows you no pity
And, cruelty seems to be your only friend,
The shame and sorrow won’t simply forgive,
The mercy is gone and the grace won’t flow
Where there was once hope, now there is only gloom

Praise God
When the light leaves no renewal
When the hope doesn’t come through
When the memory is not even true
When the feelings are so unsure

Praise God
When all hope seems gone and doubt lingers on
When everywhere you turn, there is pain echoing the dark
When nothing on earth feels as it should and, just beyond
The dreams you once knew – there is a knowing…
That only God can restore what has been
Only God can make a way through this sin
Only God can reveal the joy that won’t pretend

Praise God
When you don’t have the words to pray
When you just can’t see a way
When nothing can make you feel okay

Praise God – and never forget to say
Thank YOU to the ONE who gave His Son to save
Every soul who believes, every soul who grieves
Every soul who needs – thanks to Him,
There is forgiveness, a second chance, a grace
That gives the soul a reason to forever PRAISE!
