Poem
We are Winkin, Blinkin and Nod.
Many years this earth, we have trod.
We each had a dream, we three.
Winkin first said” my dream came back to me.

It was the Pacific Ocean calling to me you see.
Discarded plastics relentlessly thrown needlessly.
They form a canopy over the sea, stopping the sun.
The ocean begged for help, something must be done.

In my dream I explained little I could do, I am only one.
It’s imperative that its stopped, humans must unite.
The world must be shown the damage and my plight. 
Winkin you must organise groups to join the fight.

This matter is urgent, the rubbish is smothering me.
Humans, understand I am not a garbage tip for free.
I regulate climates, I generate oxygen to breathe.
Economies rely on me, what they do to me now I seethe.

Blinkin‘s dream was about the Atlantic and she is wild.
He said in his dream the Atlantic Ocean had not once smiled.
Connected to all other oceans she is leader of the pack.
She is demanding the serenity of all the oceans are given back.

Angry what we humans are doing to the world.
Global warming, destroying the peace of oceans unfurled.
Water levels dangerously rising as polar regions slowly decay.
Atlantic’s water surface temperature levels are not steadily at bay.

Changing global weather patterns, severe weather to the aquatic. 
The Atlantic is notoriously violent, unpredictable, and chaotic.
Sometimes powerful windstorms. like hurricanes form. 
If the pressure falls rapidly, and conditions are warm.

At great speed, waves crashing with maximum power.
Making sea passage more dangerous hour by hour. 
Global warming is what’s making her so sour.

Nod said my dream was about the Indian ocean an equally sad dream.
The winds over the Indian Ocean are gentle, so it would seem.
Nod had to mention swimming in his dream on his honeymoon.
In the Maldives in November, water temperature 29°C. it will be again soon.

In the southern hemisphere there is wished no-one any harm.
A large expanse of sparking water it’s usually calm.
But there are areas where waters are rising at an alarming rate.
Something must be done says the Indian ocean. We just can’t wait.
 
Cyclones, and monsoons, which can cause rough seas. 
Are caused by changes of weather and I need help please.
The global warming your bad practices did create.
Now spells disaster for the oceans of the world, we anticipate.
