Poem
In the blinded moments, Before the mist rises over the tumbling surf… Blueness tempting awake my dreams, A heartbeat from the flaming blaze, Sunshine pouring through the clusters of Feathery clouds, like the breath of peace Aroused from the falling dew, dripping Over life, silencing the coolness – gentling Each still, soft caress from yesterday Before the moments crashed into themselves Creating the day after, when I would stir Free from the chains, a passion growing inside Releasing truth, traveling through the doubts, Into the moments when sunrise erases Stardust and glistening moon bursts of nightfall, Providing more of the music flowing From spirit’s laughter, the rising Promises in the waves – caressing the beach Swiftly plummeting from the highest Crests, where the embrace of sun shadows Their graceful joys, the music spun Into delicate hymns, sung to the skies Who are bursting with the sunrise, the miracle A new day who shares itself, its kindness Beauty beyond telling – it is similar to a pleased artiste Whose been told her work is lifelike, A genius full of promise, working hope into Its lines, through its hues, with vibrant praise Rumbling through the strokes, singing gracefully, Brilliance in whitecaps, sprays so impressive They not only kiss the beach, but bring blessings Into the spirit who sees, with these, surfs Rising, toasting the trembling sands, shifting Seas, breaking against the tender flesh of hope, Energies in heated sighs, reckless and brave, All at the same time… Rolling across the landings, creating their own soft Music, waltzing with the breeze, tenderly Caressing moments in murmuring laughter, Silence filled to the full with swelling waters who abide In the glowing morning, softly waking the kindly Surf song, the makings of a sandcastle Emerges just over the knoll, Peaking from beneath some toddler’s smile, In a little while, only the memory Will know of its passing, the sense of wonder Forecasting all the heart’s fanciful feelings, Breakers thrashing against the beach at high tide, While the wind soars to its great heights, Making even the turtles a part of the scene, Where yesterday meets the briny cobalt, truth Escapes just beyond the sea caps and stills The heart who hears each wave touch down An ocean’s perfect rhythm inside the shells, Dwelling just outside our reach, there on the Magnificent spray we always call the beach… Oceans are more humble than mountains, Yet more alive it seems – so breathlessly alive, Seeking to destroy every fear, all the salty tears Competing for their enthusiastic applause, As they clap in the distance, setting the beach afire With their raining promises of love and desire It is here, among the scattering of delights – The remains of a jellyfish, clearly still listening Whispering sands, crabs and endless fish, Thriving beneath the sea, erasing the doubts, Reflecting all the calm that colors thoughts With beautiful promises, praises, prayers… Succulent discoveries, the ocean’s passion, Sliding beneath shallow wells of memory, Feelings blending with a flow of enthusiasm, Waning sun who enchants the soul – fondling The shore and remembering that here, on the beach – Just beneath the choppy waters, lies a dream Who retells the heart of love once born, never lost, Forever growing on the spirit who sees that, Despite the passage of time, there is still an ocean, Sea of light, stilling the dark and glowing in the heart Who simply believes – God’s great ability to create Even this, the ocean who sings of contentment, Serenity that is everlasting, lasting – riding waves Throughout life – as dawn keeps rising, rising… Waves, oceanic joy keeps surprising, energizing!
