I wonder if the seagull…seeing the flamingo…ever stops to think
‘Oh my…that bird's so beautiful…I wish that I was pink’.

Does a bee ever dream of being a butterfly…and do you suppose
a dog ever wishes he was a lion…
or a dandelion craves to be a rose?

Does an elephant ever think about losing weight…does she dream of being thin?
Does a tree ever wish, as he grows older, he could smooth out the wrinkles on his skin?

Does nature think about the beauty…in her oceans…her rivers …her stars?
Do all of nature’s creations ever wonder how beautiful they are?

Or…does nature know there is beauty in everything she creates…
beauty in every moment of every day?
and does she hold out the wish we humans could see beauty the same way?

If we had the ability to look past those things that fate and time control…
and see the hidden beauty that dwells in every heart and every soul…

then…just like all her other creations…we humans would be truly blessed…
for the moment we discover the beauty in others
is the moment we realize the beauty we possess.

Then and only then will we take our rightful place next to all her other creations
next to her seagulls…her dandelions…her stars….
and we would never ever wonder again…
how beautiful we are.
