My tears flew like streams.
My years flew by like sunbeams.
How beautiful my dreams had been!
Endless dreams had I seen.

My mother tried to fulfill my dreams but failed.
My father tried to fulfill my dreams but failed.
My brother tried to fulfill my dreams but failed.
My sister tried to fulfill my dreams but failed.
My friends tried to fulfill my dreams but failed.
My darling tried to fulfill my dreams but failed.

I am not a hard-hearted rogue.
I, too, suffer from sunshine and fog. 
This is what others made of me.
I have not yet lived fully for myself, so I am free.
I am for all.
Like a coconut tree or palm, so tall...

Why then,
Even when,
Dear breeze,
When there's no gain,
When you try again,
With an intention so clear:
Drying off each tear

Let’s stand firm.
Let's conform and confirm. 
Let's not scream.
Just for a cup of ice cream
