LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY GOOD SHEPHERD                                       

Lord God, You are my good Shepherd, 
always leading me to obey Your call
Thank You for guarding me from sin-spoiling downfall
Help me to follow You toward servanthood hall
I need Your wisdom against foolishness’ mall.

Lord God, You are my good Shepherd, 
always teaching me to study Your Word
Thank You for enlightening me from ignorance-discord
Help me to submit willingly to You, my dearest Lord
I need Your truth against deceitfulness’ sword.

Lord God, You are my good Shepherd, 
always propping me upon Your foundation
Thank You for defending me from intellectualism’s provocation
Help me to cling to You and to Your instruction
I need Your counsel against wrong action.

Lord God, You are my good Shepherd, 
always bringing me to Your perfect will
Thank You for setting me from hell through Your sacrifice at Calvary’s hill
Help me to pray fervently as I in Your care, I keep peacefully still
I need Your compassion against false judgment-bill.

Lord God, You are my good Shepherd, 
always directing me to Your holiness
Thank You for purifying me from iniquities’ uncleanness
Help me to abide in Your Scriptures with steadfastness
I need Your assurance against unbelief’s perilousness.

Lord God, You are my good Shepherd, 
always guiding me toward victory
Thank You for shielding me from futility of anxiety and worry
Help me to reach Your entrusted goals for Your glory
I need Your hand against pride-caused misery.

Lord God, You are my good Shepherd, 
always enclosing me around Your fellowship
Thank You for securing me from unfruitful stewardship and discipleship
Help me settle myself in Your triumphant workmanship’s partnership
I need Your discipline against faithless worship.
