1 Corinthians 15:47-58 Death has been swallowed up in victory The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. v 47 As was the earthly man (Adam), so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so are those who are of heaven. v 48 And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so we shall bare the likeness of the man from heaven. v 49 I declare to you brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen I shall tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we will all be changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead shall be rise imperishable, and we will be changed. v 50-52 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperish able, and the mortal with immorality. v 53 When the perishable has been clothe with the imperishable, and the mortal with immorality, than the saying which has been written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." v 54 "Where O death, is thy victory? Where O death is your sting?" v 55 The sting of death, is sin and the power of sin is the law. v 56 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. v 57 Therefore my dear brothers, stand firm. Let no one move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know your labor in the Lord is not in vain. No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful: he will not allow you to be tempted beyond you can bare. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand under it. l Corinthians 10:13 On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink, in doing this, you will heap burning coals upon his head." Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good. 1 Corinthians 12: 20-21 "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sins are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him." Romans 4: 7-8 We are all walking in the light As children of the most high And the most holy God! And he is able to deliver us From sin and also from shame. He is able to deliver us Amen! Grace and peace, All of my love in Christ Jesus! Roxanne Lea Dubarry Roxy Lea 1954/ October Country August 21, 2023
