Poem
Written: August 15, 2023 ______________________________________________________________ Being devoid lends the soul to thrive fonder. Missing you—for longer and longer, With each passing day, my love grows stronger. Bound by distance—but hearts beat in wonder. Deathly afraid—my heart may burst, Aching for your touch, my soul thirsts. In the silence, I crave your embrace. Longing to grip your loving face. You may love me best; I love you worst. Trapped in a love that's both blessed and cursed. The deeper I miss you—how much I ache. A love so deep, it feels such a quake. In the stillness of the night, I whisper your name. Hoping my words will reach you beyond any frame. Longing in Silence, my heart's silent plea, To bridge this distance and set my soul free. With every breath, I crave your presence near, Hoping against hope that you too feel this fear. Being devoid lends the soul to thrive fonder. But missing you, oh how I ponder, Will the day ever come when we'll be together? Or will this longing—for silence last forever? The nights grow colder, the days feel longer, My heart yearns for you—my love is stronger. Though the miles may separate us, my love remains. In the depths of my soul, it forever sustains. In the depths of my longing, I find solace and pain. For in the absence of your love, I find no gain. But still, I hold onto hope—a flickering flame, That one day our love will no longer be in vain. So I'll wait in silence with a heart full of desire, Knowing that our love can withstand any fire. Absence may lead the heart to grow fonder, But my love for you will only grow stronger. And in the depths of this longing, I'll hold on tight, Believing that one day you'll be by my side.
