Time is a fickle thing for those
                                             healing.
		               Fear and pain are the feat.			
                          Cocooned they must be in self-growth.	

Scorned by deceit and jealousy		Drenched and cold,
Kicked from that of worship		Fresh from the Siren’s lair,
Aphrodite grins at your descent.		Chivalry, the dying breed,
A streak of white…				Longs to feel warmth again…

Whispers fade in your falling.		Lost in the sea of thoughts
Peace and tranquility leached.		Thinking for oneself again
Beauty stripped to 				He timidly holds his shield abreast
Blackness entwines the wings…		Wary of making a decision…

A subject to death once more.		Fresh is the scent of the sea.
Tears of misfortune.				Barnacles no longer feed
Quenches the reaping ground.		Off of his efforts.
Reflections of moonlight dance with  	Determined to find 
Devilish shadows…				solace again...

                                           The siren’s call
                                            Still persistent
                                                 sends 
                                    Black wispy chains from the sea.
	
                                          Snares the mind
                                          Stifles movement
                                              Snaps a twig
                                      And that of the Valkyrie.

                                    Wings splays into motion.
                                                   Slicing
                                           The bond of old
                                        Envelopes him in down.

                                 Warmth is given to his worth
                                     Sheds the armor of old
                             Comfort and passion clean the soul
                                  A beam of light to the heavens.

                                  Knocks Aphrodite from her
                                            Grinning perch
                                         Scarring the cheek
                                       The cost of jealousy.
