August 8 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Ezekiel 17-20

Key Verse – Ezekiel 17:22 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY LIFE PLANTER			

Lord God, You are my life Planter, 
and You water me by Your salvation 
Thank You for making my fruit grow along Your compassion
For me to bring forth branches of sincere devotion
Through Your prospering action.

Lord God, You are my life Planter, 
and You lead me by Your wisdom 
Thank You for enabling my seed of knowledge flourish in Your kingdom
For me to root deeply in Your covenant of martyrdom
Through Your performing exalting freedom.

Lord God, You are my life Planter, 
and You set by Your light 
Thank You for directing my soul to choose to do what’s lawful and right
For me to withdraw from iniquity’s blight
Through Your pardoning restoration-might.

Lord God, You are my life Planter, 
and You keep me by Your statutes’ authority
Thank You for bending my stature against pride-transgressions’ infirmity
For me to repent and return to Your righteousness-sovereignty
Through Your prevailing triumph for my spirituality.

Lord God, You are my life Planter, 
and You nourish me by Your granted learning 
Thank You for moving my will to submit to Your rules of character-refining
For me to overcome withering dryness of sinning
Through Your protective strengthening.

Lord God, You are my life Planter, 
and You cleanse me by Your sanctifying goodness
Thank You for purifying my heart from pollution’s wickedness
For me to offer acceptable sacrifices with earnestness
Through Your pleasing voice that calls me for service-productiveness.

Lord God, You are my life Planter, 
and You purge me by Your admonishing care 
Thank You for constraining my spirit to hearken to Your commands that dare
For me to receive Your blessings for my oblation’s share
Through Your propelling discipline that beautifies my virtuous welfare.
