August 3 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Lamentations 1-5 Key Verse – Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY COMPASSIONATE AND MERCIFUL SAVIOUR Lord God, You are my compassionate and merciful Saviour, always helping me with Your ready hand Thank You for enabling me to face life’s rigorous demand So that even in my languishing, I can still stand While fulfilling Your design for me that You have planned. Lord God, You are my compassionate and merciful Saviour, always rescuing me against foolishness Thank You for empowering me to obey Your command with willingness So that even in my fainting, I can still desire to seek Your righteousness While remaining inside Your blessed goodness. Lord God, You are my compassionate and merciful Saviour, always comforting me amidst affliction Thank You for letting me overcome travails of persecution So that even in my hurting, I can still hope for Your timely restoration While enjoying Your molding toward my transformation. Lord God, You are my compassionate and merciful Saviour, always checking me of my ways Thank You for listening to with my supplication along life’s race So that even in my discouragement, I can still draw near You with praise While waiting on Your answers, wrapped by Your loving embrace. Lord God, You are my compassionate and merciful Saviour, always cleansing me toward faith-refining Thank You for nourishing me, feeding my soul with truth’s gaining So that even in my weariness, I can still cleave to Your sure winning While accomplishing Your purpose, despite temptation of declining. Lord God, You are my compassionate and merciful Saviour, always reviving me with Your light Thank You for illumining me against deceitfulness-blight So that even in my trials, I can still learn from Your Scriptures’ wise insight While rejoicing in Your discipleship’s teaching delight. Lord God, You are my compassionate and merciful Saviour, always upholding me with Your granted righteousness-inheritance Thank You for fortifying me to labour in Your ministry without resistance So that even in my downfall, I can still walk by Your assistance While clinging to Your renewing strength, never at a distance.
