Members of the Damian fraternity 
Were relaxing in the backyard. The
Soon to be 4 year olds conducted 
Themselves in their sandbox.
The older children picniced on
The grass. Amadeus DJ Damali 
And Desharah sat in a circle with
Their twin cousins Myselah and 
Sedanah. They talked about 
Teenage issues and parents
And Responsibilities. They 
Talked about their different ages
And concluded DJ and Damali 
We're the oldest in the group.
"Damali you're 16?!"  Sedanah was
Surprised. DJ volunteered, "I'll 
Be 16 in January." Myselah asked
"How old are you Desharah?" Desharah 
Spoke confidently, I'll be 13 in
October. So no matter that
I'm the youngest."  Just then 
Dolly called Desharah and Damali 
Away. Dolly lead them to the
Family room with a love seat and
A couch. Both kids chose to sit
Together on the couch when 
Damian and Molly entered the 
Scene. In addition Sidney and His
Wife called their twins in for the
Discussion. After all children 
Were in the room Delilah began.
"Kids we called this meeting 
Because we'd like to set some
Boundaries. Some of you are
Teenage girls and some are 
Teen guys. We want you to
Conduct your Selves appropriately.
I don't want to see you Fellows
Entering females rooms. And
Females the same with you."
She continued,  you all will
Relate as friends and nothing
More." She looked at Damali and
Desharah. " Understand?" She
Emphasized with a stern gaze. 
"Yeah"  they both quickly nodded
Their heads.  Damali said, 
"Sometime can we take walks
Down to the lake?" Damian said
"Yeah but always keep in mind 
She's not even thirteen yet. Take
Other cousins with you son.
You are sixteen." Remember that.
"You'll be friends."  So those are
The boundaries. If there are no other 
Questions then this discussion
Is over. As the kids were leaving 
Sidney said, "they needed
That." Damian responded, yeah 
But we'll do best to have these
Meetings often."  Damali approached 
Damian and Dolly privately.
"I'll start seeing Carolie again I
Don't want be untrustworthy 
Around Desharah. For now 
Any way."  Damian asked, "Oh, for
Now?"  Dolly asked, "And what 
Happens then, son?  Damali 
Plead, "well Auntiema Dad." 
When...when I'm nineteen 
Desharah she'll be sixteen."
He held up his hands saying,
"Yeah, I'll...she'll still be young
But I think it's up...to her. Right?."
I don't Wanna do anything you
Don't approve of. Okay?"  
 Molly joined the conversation 
Breaking it wide open. "So...
What you're saying is that you 
Want a platonic Relationship?
With her or... something else?
Marriage? Damian and Dolly 
Were shocked now. watching 
Damali with the most serious 
Expressions. Damali was nervous 
He said, "No no..  well... Damian 
Stopped his stammering and said
"Listen Damali you're my nephew 
Eventually I know You want to
Become something more, 
My Son - in - law?" Damian had 
His arm around Damali shoulders
"That's...that's good. But for now you
Will be friends and she'll be 
13 in October, alright." Damian
Patted his back. "okay, then get
Out of my sight FUTURE. SON
IN LAW."  Damali found DJ in
The new house. He was glad to 
Be there out of sight. DJ asked,
 "So what You gonna do now Damali?"
Damali said,  Deshi's to young
Now. Soo, Carolee Hakim! I guess 
She'll be my favorite cousin for
Now." Desharah can become
More familiar with... what's his
Name."  DJ burst with laughter.
Damali brother his name is
Tanaka. He's Hakim too. So be
Easy Cuz. Brother."  Then Amadeus 
Rammed the door with Amani.
"Hey Amadeus," Damali said, 
"You are Becoming bolder by the
Day." Amadeus had the ultimate 
Come back, "Waait a minnnute
Da Mali, you are the boldest cuz
I.know. you're one to talk. You
Survived after you spoke about 
My sister! To my mothers and 
Father! Haa ha Brother in.law?
Right? Amadeus shook his head
"I will be bold. Probably forever!
Because I'm learning from you.
Damali! You're part of our family 
For sure now. Right DJ?". Damali
Didn't want to reply. Just to top
It off, Desharah Knocked at the
Door. DJ opened it. Desharah's arms 
Were folded prepared for major 
Opposition. DJ allowed her to
Enter. He said, "Say
What you want then leave."
She addressed Damali. "So I'm..
What are you going to do about 
Hanging out with me. Damali said 
"Nothing. we're still friends nothings
Changed, I'll be with my
Friend and you be with yours.
For now, alright?" And we'll meet
Back later in about a few years 
You'll be about sixteen or Seventeen."
Okay?"  Desharah's face fell a
Little. DJ said, "Desharah don't
Expect nothing else."  "You said 
Your peace, now leave." he uttered as
He opened the door. Goodbye 
Little sister." She made a solemn 
Exit.    

Birthdays came. Damian was 
Then 42  Amadeus turned 13
The seven advanced to 4 years old.
August  was quickly added to
The past as September slid to
Present time at last. Shadir and 
Matthias' birthday party was
Held in the gym with children from
The family. Dolly and Molly wanted 
It outside, similar to Godfrey's and 
Barry's party. But they resolved to
Having it inside because of the
Change in the weather
The usual was done. Cake with
Ice cream all the fun. 
Afterwards Damian treated the
Newly Minted 7 year olds to 
Damian's Domaine billards for
The day. Then let them watch 
Movies for the rest of the night.
Time passed Swiftly. October was
Apparent. weather cooled with
Evidence of leafless Trees.

Desharah's party was held in
The early evening with 
The usual festivities. Grandfather 
And Grandma Hakim Made their 
Presence known with a large fancy
Cake.  She received hugs and kisses 
From everybody. Music played 
Late night. Damian danced
With his 13 year old daughter 
Desharah. "You're ALMOST  an
Adult now."   She answered, "Yeah,
And I can have a boyfriend now
Right?" He said, "Yeah, Tanaka."
She started to protest, "But....
He said, "But but nothing." Then
Damali tapped Damian's shoulder.
"May I have this dance now, uncle."
Damian was reluctant 
Then said, "Alright."
And stepped aside saying, 
"Don't forget, I am watching."
