Poem
In the silence of the heart, There lives a beauty, a gentle thought, Pulsing and burning through the doubt, Shadowing the wonder, the joy Pouring out from the soul who believes, The music, so blessed, like one who sees Through the darkness into the light, Where Jesus brings a peace far greater Than any fear, filled with grace That lingers there amid the prayers, Amidst the praises raining down From heavenly teardrops – heaven’s calm Whispering beautiful through the soul, Silencing worry – remembering to shout Serenity so soothing it colors the spirit In joy and beauty, laughing melodies, Prayers for the Creator, the Maker of our Dreams, the blessed Savior – the most Tender faith abiding to destroy the doubts, The darkest dread, every tear… In the silence of a soul who knows Him, the One who brings to life every Good thing, the joy and peace, The grace and belief – the song of life Sounding out a rhythm through the winds, In the trees I hear His rustling freedom, The miracle of love far surer, far better Than any love that has ever been, - no Other love is a love without sin, a love That enters into the heart and soul with Hope that assures the spirit there is a home We’re preparing for, a home we’re praying for, A home called heaven where our hearts Will be given the most amazing gift, Love that is alive, brighter than the skies Silencing the sorrows, erasing all the darkness, Promising the believer that they’ll be given A home that will last forever, a home that Is the blessing from the One who gave His life So that we could make it through this time – Entering into paradise, where love is so alive Where the only real love has survived… I will survive because He is mine – The light Of my soul, the reason I’ll go on… Into the life eternal, where love will never leave And His light will never change – forever I will sing a song of grace, gratitude – praising The One who made a way through the storm, Praising forever – always praising The One who created me, the One who saved me And the One who gave me… a love That is out of this world, a love that is alive Surviving every doubt or discouragement This is a love that is forever and always, a love That abides in the heart and protects me from The doubts of my past, the worst that comes Because His love is God’s gift – and my eternal home! Love this alive shines down through my life Holding me through the storms, guiding me toward A place where I’ll know only the beautiful, The wonder of a love far more alive than I can imagine Love this alive is love that survives every sorrow Love this alive testifies of grace that is forever mine!
