Poem
Staring into a sky so perfect blue

The wispy white clouds 
highlighted now stand further out

And I am suddenly stood transfixed

And I can feel the sun warming 
comfortably at my back

As I am dressed inappropriately in black

And all I see abound me is shimmering in glee

The breeze is dancing throughout the 
heather unabridged scott care free

Until no longer on I wish no more on to go

As ever so suddenly I realize I am 
awakening

Now the bird song comes into soft focus

I somehow never noticed a moment just before

Flowing ever so gently at towards me out 
from nature's tree

Nothing left of this day I wish nor
want again to pursuit 

And all I do nodd in acknowledgement
and appreciation

As come to think of it I haven't spoken 
nor said anything in a while 

All I can do and am doing is wearing
a cheesy grin and smile

And I am drowned in fits and spurts 

Of the rapture of the silence 
taking over me

I've finally jettisoned all of my pain 
and distain away

Set cut adrift from my stricken ship

I am finally free at last

As I think I have at last least found my

Field of Dreams

And so too found release 

I one day seen walking out hidden behind 
that rainbow

I witnessed in a park after a rain shower 

And this is one of those days forevermore 
I will remember

Lest forget

As I haven't had precious little of these 

In fact very few and far in-between 

Since I was a young child of 
perhaps maybe aged 8 years old

And though it may have taken an
eternity for me here to arrive

I certainly don't plan leaving this

Helium balloon magical infused life 

Any time soon 

Without putting up an erstwhile fight

Because I think I have done and sacrificed

Enough for and on the part of other's

In order for me to believe and justify

I truly deserve staying put

And I am going nowhere 

Unless that be 

Receding back to much happier time's

Un - Malighed 
&
Un - Tarnished 

Unless of course that is

Loving and caring

Is deemed to be my crime

And if so be it that is the case

For the prosecution to charge me with

Then that also suits me just fine as well

As who better than I 

knows myself fully warts and all 

Also to as well

And I now have all my ducks in a row

Which I am willing and enabled to defend 

As upon reflection up until now

I can finally fall soundly asleep

Come the haunting bewitching

Hour strikes 

Death of day cometh midnight
