Poem
Hold me within the virtual chalice of righteous And never let me stray too long amid the imperfection of this body From this visage of dignity, once poured upon my soul... That not deceit nor hypocracy become the written ledger Upon the perceived reality of my lifes legacy?! Let no one say that I was not genuine and faithful~Pure within the cores of promises notes Cleansings still given amid the recognized impurities, of this myself.... That maliciousness and malcontent did not envelope, nor did it dictate Unto the persona non gratas, desires of this man!? This rotting of my very own spirit, before all of their eyes Never playing both sides of becoming a distorted delusion.... Wherein blind I became, to my own truisms, presented upon these pages Of blood sketched parchment, afore their visions, as I stood alone?! No, never let this dagger be thrust into my bleeding heart That it should drip with the resins of remorseful regrets Bathed within these sullen tears before the processions, from which I fell.... While they all watched within dismay, these crushed longings, as the demons mocked Laughing at the falling of this wishful light once dreamn't? Before the blotting out beneath these frailties, incised, within this fleshes lack of sight This shadow which I danced with, amid the darkest of the night As I held tightly to these things forlorn, which beared the sombers, of birthings rights.... Within my own naiveness and ignorance, sacrificing it all, but for what? Vanities and pride? Jealousies and lust? Or something, much worse? No! Let not my story be told, that I was but a jester, standing Upon the empty stage of my days, amid, my alloted time of life.... Wasted within the barrenness, of such empty sorrowed hands! That I never tore dreams or love, from anyones precious soul~By juggling my words And rendering them futile and absurd; thus, stealing away their hope? Rather, prepare this epitome 'Oh Lord,' while I still walk upon the face of this earth He was an imperfect man, as all, but with a perfect soul.... Fragilities he admitted; and shortcomings he never once denied But at the end of the day, he always held high, all of human life ~ Wrapped within boundless love~With no barriers of faiths, colors, languages or kinds That honesty and dignity were never compromised, by the perversions of lies As he bowed before 'Heaven,' with the forever longings of graces eyes!! The Epilogue
