LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY GRACIOUS SHIELD
                                                               
Lord God, You are my gracious Shield 
Who keeps me in Your lovingkindness
Thank You for Your Word that counsels me with Your blissfulness
Worthy are You to be consulted by Your goodness…
Wake me up always in my helplessness. 

Lord God, You are my gracious Shield 
Who upholds me in my sin-perishing
Thank You for Your will that takes me to Your compassionate refreshing
Worthy are You to be sought for my iniquity-washing…
Warm me up always against trouble and shame’s pushing.

Lord God, You are my gracious Shield 
Who soothes me for my fainting soul
Thank You for Your wondrousness that strengthens me to be fully whole
Worthy are You to be feared called for my prayer-goal…
Wire me up always to walk along Your upright pole. 

Lord God, You are my gracious Shield 
Who frees me from carnality’s captivity
Thank You for Your wisdom that teaches me against ignorance-infirmity
Worthy are You to be revered for my faith’s integrity…
Warn me up always against my foolishness-intensity. 

Lord God, You are my gracious Shield 
Who satisfies me against discontentment
Thank You for Your work that preserves me by Your merciful settlement
Worthy are You to be trusted as You meet my fulfillment…
Watch me up always by Your answers toward my betterment. 

Lord God, You are my gracious Shield 
Who guides me to glorify Your name
Thank You for Your way that leads me to exalt You with praises’ flame
Worthy are You to be worshipped along Your compassion-fame…
Widen me up always for Your service of strengthening aim. 

Lord God, You are my gracious Shield 
Who sets me upon Your holiness-foundation
Thank You for Your wealth that enriches me with service-mission
Worthy are You to be esteemed for Your granted salvation…
Win me up always with Your sanctification.
