Poem
Leaving the guesswork out of my story, Listening – cold, like the bittersweet History of a woman who remembers only The difficult moments who made her Bolder, wiser, surer – more like a portrait Of who she was intended to be when He spoke Her into existence, created her from the breathless Riches of His whisper, His gift still risks Being ignored as simplistic, yet it holds the Very kindness of hope in its deliciousness, its Sensitivity and intensity, the millions or reasons He had for giving her breath, her nature His gift to the soul that would, one day be His – Saved by the Son who silenced the enemy’s Shaming, taunting, haunting accusations, the reminders That she couldn’t ever be more than a sinner, A shamefaced sense of the memories – a past that Felt like the darkness swaying to her decisions, Her dreaded decisions to be less than He meant, Less honest, less sincere, less of the grace filled soul Who His Son died to give life – give it more abundantly, More like the serenity that surrounds her now That she knows He is with her, filling her, freeing her So that – forever is her story, forever with Him, The One who made her to know the wonder of love Beyond words, love that heals, love so very real Love this sincere is love that abides throughout time, Forever and always, pleading with the heart To never forget the One whom was met when The past fell away into the seas of memories and Eternity left her the faith to believe in the blessing The One who measures out grace, not in teaspoons Or ½ cups, but in gallons of mercy – oodles of love, Measured by the hand who holds the beauty, the hope The freedom that comes to those who know – Jesus My reason for believing, my destiny, my story – He is the gift that never lets me grow stale or sad. He is always giving me more reasons to glorify His name, Jesus He is the light that brightens even the worst pain He is the love that I will forever share, because He had a plan When He created me and gave to me, the hope, the prayer The miracle of a grace that is forever stirring my faith… He is mine and I am His – forever praising, forever faithful To Him, the One who created me and the One who amazes me With His ability to see through my past, into the joy That I know because He has shown me eternal love, eternal peace The wonder of a faith that leaves me feeling so very blessed! I’m Thankful to know Him, this Jesus who healed my past Gave me hope to continue to grow and feed other souls The beautiful that I know He inspired with His forever fire, The miracle of a love that is my heart’s main desire! I’ll never give up – praising and praying – He is so amazing!
