Poem
Your smile is like the beautiful Shining through the skies, Glistening with tenderness – a smile Pouring out kindness and hope, Reminding my spirit that I can know The wonder of a wish being won, The miracle of a prayer being grown Beyond the darkness, the doubt Through the music of your light Your touch is like the whispers of gentling Soothing away the frustrations, Preventing the worry to cloud the dreams Stirring up the laughter, the intimacy Breathing light into the night, inspiring The feelings to bleed in rhythms, Welcoming the joy, the forever knowing That love is alive on the inside, in the soul Of the one who knows this beautiful This light that forever shines so dazzling Your kiss is like the creativity, the muse Coloring the heart in hues of grace, Pouring out the promises, the unending faith Grown from truth and trial, stirred to life By the knowing that love is always flowing Down into the soul who believes, who sees The yearnings rising to reunite with belief, The soft stroke of wonderful that never fades Embracing the spirit in an affection that is alive, Rousing the friendship, the quiet familiarity, The closeness that comes from a relationship That breathes compassion, compromise, curing… Every tear with the assurance that love will relieve All the sorrows, all the heartaches, all the fears This Love is so alive in it’s silence – with not a word It arrives at the wisest sigh, breathing light into the soul Who knows that this love is the answer to all strife This love will linger in the heart, the life – until it reaches Its destiny, paradise where it will be the light that flows, Silencing every burden and reassuring every yearning With love this alive, this strong – more powerful than the knowing… It is love that can’t be known without giving a part of your own Spirit, your own heart – your own hope for forever in the eyes Of someone whose become the biggest part of your world! Thank you, love – you’ve won my heart and brought me hope
