Poem
I stand on top of the big board chair looking at you muttering something privately to yourself over there. I couldn’t figure out what you were saying, I could only read the message on your lips rolling in the deep. This thing has gone on for too long and the birds are singing a new song, the bald eagle and the house sparrow are conversing together about the appointment for tomorrow They are planning to over throw the deer but they are petrified with fear. I still cannot get over this feeling that you have created since our spirit merge, the actors are bellowing on the stage and the producers are caught up in a rage and the audience doesn’t know why. My heart is reeling and every day I have to suppress this uncomfortable feeling. You mix white rice and brown rice and then you add the spice, you spread frosting on the cake and top it with black raisin to seal up the spots. It’s the courage that is embedded in the deep that keeps me from falling asleep. Big trucks are thundering down the street and they are stirring up the heat, the roof is shaking, the earth is vibrating but I am still rolling on. The farmer boys are playing in the yard and they are blowing the elephant tusk evoking a mournful tenor in the town, I don’t like the sound of it so I asked them to change the pitch and then I start smiling I can still hear your voice crying in the deep and the commotion that began in the conference room when you walked in. The ground doves and the parrots all gather in the conference hall and the tigers, lions and dogs are getting ready to start a brawl. The Dalmatian pelican sits proudly in its new frock while the barn sallow walk around the conference hall looking for trouble. The kagu and the emu isolate its self from the rest, keeping its eyes on the Somalia ostrich that is resting its head on the desk. They are ready to start the exotic meeting. The greater Rhea was selected to chair the meeting, oh what a wonderful feeling, everyone had to go outside and put on a frock so that they could be humbled and stand back. The Parrot refused to comply, and flew in the air in a sudden rage but it was quickly shot down and it's carcass buried in the ground. And so the meeting began and everyone wants to know where I stand, we all voted with a passion and so I got what I wanted, the zeal and the courage to carry on. When deep speak to deep you can rest assure that your spirit will be at ease.
