Poem
When the night turns dark, And the silence grips the air, My heart bleeds with every beat, As I wonder if you still care. Once, we were as close as family, Blood that flowed through our veins, But now it seems the bond is broken, And all that remains is pain. I ask myself, how did we get here, To this place of hurt and blame? Was it the words left unspoken, Or the secrets we tried to tame? In the end, does it even matter, When the damage has been done? For the wounds run deep, and the scars, Tell a story of a bond undone. And so I weep for what we had, For the laughter and the tears, For the memories that once brought us joy, Now tainted by our fears. But in the midst of this darkness, I find a glimmer of hope, That empathy will guide our way, To help us find the strength to cope. For though the bond might be broken, The love that once was still remains, And perhaps in time, we'll find our way back, To the family we were, to break the chains. Let us not dwell on what went wrong, Or who was right and who was wrong, But instead, let us focus on, Rebuilding what we lost so long. Let us open up our hearts, And let the love we once shared flow, Let us listen with empathy, And let our kindness overflow. For every step towards healing, Is a step towards a brighter tomorrow, Where forgiveness reigns and love abounds, And our hearts are free from sorrow. So let us come together now, On this journey to mend our bond, And find the strength to rise above, All the hurt and pain that's gone. For in the end, it's the love we share, That will guide us through the night, And bring us back to where we once were, With hearts that burn bright.
