Poem

He chose me to be one of his twelve apostles.
He loved me unconditionally. He entrusted me with
material possessions and gave me an opportunity to have
eternal life. He never despised, judged, or treated me
differently.  He even called me friend.

I deserved far less, but he gave so much more.
I never realized that I was so rich, but yet inside I was
so very poor and wretched.  And now? I am forever lost,
never benefiting and receiving what was offered to me
so freely and lovingly.

I have read of those who were led and driven by the Holy Spirit,
but that was never me. My body followed The Christ, but my spirit
was driven by Satan.  It seems that I have been saturated, overwhelmed,
compelled, and driven by an evil spirit that has brought me to this
hanging place. I am forever hopeless, but you, having read my story,
have hope. My name is Judas. Goodbye.
