Poem
One tick closer to midnight Grab on and hold on tight Is this not the ride you were looking for Yet here you are wanting more Turbulent times up ahead I'd Probably , be better off dead That is something in which I feel no dread Fighting the thoughts that fill my head Stuck in the circle of life spinning round and round See your talking but I can't hear a sound Don't you know life says I'm hell bound One step closer to the end of the line I hear you call yourself a friend of mine But where were you when I really needed you the most. You now will have to live with that ghost Taking one step closer to the other side Feeling all the emptiness inside When you walk on the wrong side of the track All you do just means the further you are set back Setting yourself up for a heart attack Rise and shine Won't you be mine Then one day or maybe another Life hits you and you start to smother Walking two feet above the floor Head so big it wont fit through the door But here you are still wanting more Lost between the tick and the tock I done forgot to wind that clock Looking back it was really grand But there are still things I don't understand Who put it all together just don't know But it fell apart at the first blow Love isn't strong enough to withstand. Life without a loving hand That ring sure didn't bind Cause you sill went and left me behind Love grows then it will die Leaving you there alone to cry Walking away from all I know No clue to where it is I go But here you call me on the phone So sorry you left me there all alone And here you are still wanting more But that all ended when I was shoved out that door Somewhere there in between the right and wrong A place where our love wasn't that strong I gave all I had And that seemed to make you glad. And me so sad I reached up to help you soar But still you just always wanted more Hearts sometimes break That's just the chance you take. It's just the pain that follows in it's wake Puts me one step further from you One step closer to something new One step closer to someone true Cause now it's me and I'm wanting so much more It is now time for my heart to soar
