Consideration of angles
The seeing of self, just off centre
Catching a glimpse
Everyone can be a magical creature
From a certain vantage point
Or at the right moment in time
And those moments, are oh so wonderful
To experience
Sometimes captured through a lens
Or as a memory
Forever fixed
In the mind's eye
It makes you wonder
How accurate then, is a reflection
And why does the person in the mirror feel like the stranger
I am the myriad of moments
Visible in flickers 
In a carousel slide projector
Running at high speed in black and white
Where you can't quite catch the image
But subliminallly see
The composite
Become the whole 
And there's absence and presence
Where language and thought
Don't fill the gap or seem to be able to grasp
You know the vision in the flickers well
The resonance is tangible
Like a tremor of understanding 
The warm air in the underground station
Bathing you in reminiscence of something known but unknown
All the while the reflection in the mirror
Cold
The carousel
A societal cage
And contained within, the true essence
So often unuttered and unseen
Whilst in the time between the moments
The sensible structured self
Lives the life
Not disturbing the peace
