FOX NEWS article rhymed When Donald Trump lost the presidency, Fox News lost too “We’re bleeding eyeballs,” a Fox producer remarked “And we’re scared of blue” But unlike Trump, Fox was never in denial about its loss Resorted to what seems like a Two-headed coin toss Network’s executives, multi-million-dollar stars Elites watching from satellites as far as Mars Stared the ratings in the face Feared soon behind in the race Switching channels or turning off TVs in the resident When their pro-Trump audience reacted to the prospect of Biden as President To fix the problem, Fox ran even further to the right Today we know this was not so bright But it worked! It was profitable for Lachlan Murdoch and Rupert But it was toxic for the American political system, “Fox is a really different place than it was pre-election” After Biden took office, a commentator said with regret I am sure they saw this coming—I bet Changes at Fox followed the post-election Fox News is the primary trusted source of information Americans in the millions Republican elected officials, party activists, changes affect everyone One day at a time, one show at a time But when viewed in totality, a crime They are unmistakable and stark Every change was evil and dark Having less news on the air and more opinions Of Trump and his dominions Evangelist like, sinners It was like serving dessert without dinner When the dessert consisted of screaming dinner was awful Warning the meal might be a socialist plot, Leftist, unlawful A huge loss, a pivotal point because of Trump Fox’s ratings declined, so the slump ‘We denied the pandemic, now we’re denying the election outcome.’ Thy kingdom come thy will be done? After the networks projected Biden as president-elect was no surprise But the precipitousness was a shock, a demise Fox’s afternoon and evening hours fell by thirty percent Even though the news cycle was nothing short of epic, unprecedent For people at Fox who were used to winning for years, this was disorienting, and for some downright terrifying, bringing tears Other Far Right Channels where gaining Newer ones in training Fox News Media CEO and the management team found a way to lure the Fox audience back home Fox fallen far from their throne By giving the viewers what they wanted: False hope Fined, sued and finding a way to cope On Fox, Trump was treated as a political genius While others threw him under the bus And treated him like a lame duck who failed to win reelection “Our audience hates this,” one executive said in a moment of candor And in a sweeping meander “This” was: Biden as president-elect and Kamala Harris as VP-elect -Oh brother! Said another: “They’re pissed” said a second source: “Seething” Whining dogs may exhibit signs of anxiety, such as chewing, and excessive barking, or teething—I Am Anaya 2/28/23
