Poem
Some who preach, erase the darkness With their inspirations of grace, Their gentleness and faith, the way They speak of the One who brought love To hearts and souls, to those who know He is the way, the truth and the life Through Him, we uncover the ultimate Sacrifice, - in life, He brought joy In death, He overthrew all of hell, So we can know peace that is forever Making a way for us to reach heaven Where we can live with God, Always and forever – abiding in His love His glory spotless, brighter than the dawn Some who preach, remind the world That what we share in this life, Be it goodness, hope or kindness – reminds Everyone that we have given From our spirits, our innermost feelings With hearts intent on bringing to life All the joy that God stirred with His gift, His death on a cross and His resurrection Which breathed faith through the lost, He gave it all – despite the cost Carried His cross and bled and died So that we could know the meaning of His life, His time on this earth The wonder of that gift that made a place For each soul to live – eternally with Him Some who preach, delight the soul With their fire – their amazing love The wonderful story of God’s tender mercy, Grace that abides in those who know He is alive and He is worthy His light shines like the morning sun, Because He is alive – a fire, inspiring love That falls across the spirit, raining Down beauty, grace and gentleness Peace that feels like love – unconditional Love that is alive, twinkling in the smiles In those who know His light was designed To reach hearts and souls with joy That reflects His greatest desire – to save The soul from the darkness, the dread The place where the lost will experience Hopelessness that never dies, never ends – I’m so thankful for Him, this Jesus and I know That His love saves those who believe in Him Receive His love and grace – and find the Way to salvation means walking with Him, The One who is the soul’s very best friend! Some who preach, reach through the doubts Into the faith, where we find our way out Past the night, into the light – beyond the shadows Into forever with the Son who is a light to everyone Believing, trusting… this is what we need To prepare the way for heaven, where every soul Will live together with the love that is more Powerful than anything we’ve ever known, more Powerful, even – than the worst sins of this world Some who preach remember that we need More of His grace – through our crumbs of faith, Because it is this grace that brings us through Those things that make life a place of struggle, A place we know will one day become a past That His love saved us from, at last…
