Poem
I wanted to pen this verse in solidarity to the universe but my heart would not allow me until I am released from the chains that bound me. The open door with its vacant room wrapped around me at noon while the sweltering heat penetrates my body squeezing water out of my skin and pours it into a bucket. I felt a sudden burden dragging over me and my heart running a marathon through the woods jumping from tree to tree in the rising temperature over a hundred degree and blocks of concrete covers me. I see people moving around with big boat on top of their head and the cars racing up the hill looking for some daffodils. I waited patiently for the call but instead I heard a brawl and the dog biting stones in the middle of the road and the story is yet to unfold. I could not help but holding back the tears, it is the longing that is curled up in my stomach and wilderness that surrounds me and pulling out my breath and the majestic voice from above keeps directing traffic all over the town. A strange noise enters the town running around in a strange gown and the birds start flying to and fro looking for a special place to go. It suddenly came across that today is Saint Valentine’s Day. The people dressed in red and white holding on to their man, gallivanting up and down the street rubbing their hands and whispering an old song. A song that was out of beat and was very hard to compete. The children ran about the school yard showing off their red and white valentine’s color with big red bow placed upon their head while destiny waits patiently in their bed. They were apart of the show but they did not know which way go, they kept up their pranks until they lost their right hand. I see something far beyond the horizon, something that someone cannot see and it is walking slowly towards me. I Just wanted recapture the normalcy in life again but the clouds kept rolling about and the ambulance and the fire engine starts to shout and for the first time I saw you standing beneath the clouds with a fixed smile on your face looking at me and I looked at you and say Just one more time, I will wait to see if you are mine, just one more time I will give you time to say that you are mine.
