“Unicorns are Us” You can only imagine the furore when magick hit the score the Party, not impressed, was not for witches too big for their britches on brooms, said all the high-brow cultural dignitories and low-strung toad hall politicians pacing around the room; so all negligible necromancers and sullen she-devils transformed and became the beautiful untouchables quietly soft shoe tapping majorly in the middle of the room, their horns glistening a pearlescent message, "Unicorns are Us" unbridled, opalescent and glowing up a lightening storm, there they stood, still shining a light in Bedlam for the invisible unicorn in the room, constant and immovable, speaking in tongues whispering its hypnotic union speak in the ears of all cranks, trolls and creeps prom kings and queens monsters, faeries court jesters, all major and minor arcana pedigrees baptised in poetry, it whispered its party line, P.S. "U.a.U." the sign above the door read: the U.a.U. Party is always "On" here's your badge, don't be late you're in or out don't forget to toot your horn if you're one of us some say poor choice, others say fate (LadyLabyrinth / 2023) “There is no reality except the one contained within us. That is why so many people live such an unreal life. They take the images outside of them for reality and never allow the world within to assert itself.” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf “In eternity there is no time, only an instant long enough for a joke.” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf “As a body everyone is single, as a soul never” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf “A girl had bidden me eat and drink and sleep, and had shown me friendship and had laughed at me and had called me a silly little boy. And this wonderful friend had talked to me of the saints and shown me that even when I had outdone myself in absurdity I was not alone.” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf “...Every ego so far from being a unity is in the highest degree a manifold world, a constellated heaven, a chaos of forms, of states and stages, of inheritances and potentialities. It appears to be a necessity as imperative as eating and breathing for everyone to be forced to regard this chaos as a unity and to speak of his ego as though it was a one-fold and clearly detached and fixed phenomenon. Even the best of us shares this delusion.” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf “Here, too, I found neither home nor company, nothing but a seat from which to view a stage where strange people played strange parts.” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf “You learned people and artists have, no doubt, all sorts of superior things in your heads; but you're human beings like the rest of us, and we, too, have our dreams and fancies.” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf “You are to listen to the cursed radio music of life and to reverence the spirit behind it and to laugh at its distortions.” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf “When you listen to radio you are a witness of the everlasting war between idea and appearance, between time and eternity, between the human and the divine.” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf “Music does not depend on being right, on having good taste and education and all that.” “Indeed. Then what does it depend on?” “On making music, Herr Haller, on making music as well and as much as possible and with all the intensity of which one is capable.” Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf "MAGIC THEATER ENTRANCE NOT FOR EVERYBODY. FOR MADMEN ONLY."
