Little spider dear
Why did you make home here
It's flyless I'm sure
Not due to you, but my efforts more

Why not get involved in the action
Of cultivating wing mirror traction
They do so very well indeed
If they can endure the speed 

But I'm afraid you'll be placed outside
I fear your fate, a different bumpy ride
Change of temperature, out of the blue
Try to tell myself I'm saving your life too

I do wish you to be alive not dead
So I'll place you tenderly behind the shed
It's sheltered and bothers me less
There are lots of chances for success

I've visited spiders there before
Who got fat for months or more
It's a really great spot
I'll even throw in for free this plant pot 

Just know it's ok to be out here
Not inside, I hope that's clear
So now I'll bid you farewell
Whether you have a future I cannot tell

I feel bad but you got me on good day
Some spiders go the vacuumy way
I've left a few in corners over the years
But unappreciated for others with fears

I pass some with webs outdoors
Ponder 'fly display' or 'broken' tours 
There's better places for you to be
Than in a cupboard or under the settee

Think about getting on the guttering
Flies and views, isn't that your thing?
Being safe is all well and good
But your not living the true life of a bug

Please find a place that gives you it all
Catching flies, a thrill a minute haul
Don't focus on a perfect web
Collecting dust, live instead

That might mean a repair or two
But it's got to be more fulfilling for you
Adventure for the heirs to come
Knowing they descend from a brave one

Not locked up in the dark
But living their best life in the park
Not completely hidden from view
Each day adventures anew

Get through the night
Please don't die of fright
I'm sorry this decision wasn't your own
I hope you grow to love your new home
